Shopping in Birmingham city centre is easy to get to whether by car, train or bus. Please find below details of how to get here.
BY CAR
FROM THE NORTH
From M6
Leave the M6 at Junction 6 and follow signs for A38M Birmingham Central.
Stay on the A38M for approximately 2 miles following signs for Birmingham city centre.
FROM THE SOUTH
From M5
Leave the M5 at Junction 3. At the motorway island follow signs for Birmingham City Centre (A456).
Keep on the A456 (Hagley Road West) for approximately 2 miles.
At the first set of traffic lights (the junction of the A4123) carry straight on following signs for Birmingham City Centre (A456).
Carry straight on over the second set of traffic lights, Hagley Road West becomes Hagley Road as you enter Edgbaston.
After a further 2.5 miles you will approach Five Ways island, take the tunnel under Five Ways island and you will reach Broad Street. Continue straight and follow signs for the various shopping attractions in Birmingham city centre.
CAR PARKING
There are plenty of car parks available throughout the city centre with over 25,000 car spaces, ranging from shopping centre car parks, NCP and car parks operated by Birmingham City Council. BY TRAIN
Birmingham has three main train stations, New Street, Moor Street and Snow Hill.
NEW STREET STATION
New Street is the city’s biggest station which is serviced by train operators, Virgin Trains, Cross Country Trains and London Midland. There are three entrances/exits which are located as follows; direct on to the New Street shopping area via The Pallasades shopping centre, the main taxi points and vehicle drop-off collection points are on Smallbrook Queensway, with pedestrian access to the Bullring and a third exit/entrance is located on Navigation Street near to The Mailbox
MOOR STREET STATION
Moor Street station is a beautiful traditional style station operated by Chiltern Railways with a direct line from London Marylebone. The station is located on the corner of Moor Street Queensway, directly next to the east side of The Bullring (next to the iconic Selfridges building).
SNOW HILL STATION
Snow Hill station is located on the north side of the city centre retail area on Colmore Row, next to the Great Western Arcade and near to House of Fraser.
