PENHALIGON’S OPENS AT HARVEY NICHOLS

PenhaligonsTimeless, elegant and charming – Penhaligon’s has carved out a reputation for offering the ultimate in traditional luxury. And now one of the most famous perfume brands has opened a new department at Harvey Nichols Birmingham.

With a concession on Beyond Beauty, this renowned English perfume house will offer beautiful ranges and scents – ideal as Christmas presents for those who demand the very best.

Founded in the 1860s by William Henry Penhaligon – a Cornish barber who became Queen Victoria’s perfumer – to this day, the brand only uses fine and rare ingredients such as hand-squeezed oil of bergamot and jasmine to create the luxurious fragrances.

With all the scents designed and created in England, Penhaligon’s maintains its classic heritage with William’s legacy at the forefront. Still using his diaries and many original formulas, Penhaligon’s aims to provide fresh inspiration for a new generation of enthusiasts.

The longevity of the fragrances can be seen by the classic Blenheim Bouquet – originally created for the Duke of Marlborough in 1902. A ground-breaking fragrance of its time, the fresh citrus scent cuts through the floral notes, and is still the best selling fragrance.
