Indie film shoot at Six Eight Kafé
The final scenes of a new independent film shot in Birmingham were completed this week. The movie, called Four Way, is based on relationship difficulties between four men.
Shooting has taken place at various central locations with the last few scenes being filmed at the Six Eight Kafe, a stylish coffee shop newly opened in Temple Row.
“It was great working with Six Eight Kafé”, says Four Way director Matt Daniels. “They were very supportive right from the start. Brilliant location, friendly staff and black coffees all round!”
Being used as a film location has helped strenghten links between the cafe and the local creative scene, as it was also one of the key meeting places for wear-eyed photographers from the 4am Project photo shoot.
4am Project organiser Karen Strunks explains: “Six Eight Kafé reached out to those taking part in the project at Birmingham Library and opened it’s doors at 5.30am especially for the group
“With that business initiative, it’s use of social media and the range of coffee on offer, Six Eight Kafé is set to be a prime coffee stop in Birmingham.”
