Next month sees the long-awaited launch of the city's Style Awards – and this year promises to be even bigger and better.

The awards will officially kick off with a VIP reception at Opus on Monday September 1 when the categories will be announced. The event will also see the launch of the exciting Style Search 08 when Style Birmingham takes to the streets to pick Birmingham's best dressed.

The awards first started last year and proved a huge success with retailers battling for the top categories and stylebirmingham.com readers who got to vote for their favourite shops.
