One of Birmingham’s most impressive stores is planning what promises to be an impressive run-up to the festive season … where else can you play bingo with a drag queen, win at pass the parcel and get shopping advice from a pantomime dame?

Selfridges’s show-stopping fun kicks off with visits from Father Christmas every Saturday from December 5 until December 19, from 11am-5pm.

Also on Saturday December 5, panto performers will be out and about in the Bullring store from noon-7pm looking for lucky shoppers to play the favourite party game – they will be dishing out Christmas goodies every time the music stops.

On Saturday 12 December, the renowned queen of drag – Johnnny Woo – will bring his eccentric Gay Bingo to Menswear Level 3 from noon-3pm.

Then on Saturday December 19, an alternative helpdesk is being set up and will be “manned” by the three Ugly Sisters from 1pm-7pm. Customers can ask for help on finding the perfect Christmas gift.
