SHOW STYLISTS

We have got a fantastic line-up of top stylists ready to wow the crowds at the Style Birmingham LIVE Town Hall catwalk show this year. Take a look below for more info and an insight into the looks the teams will be creating.

For the second year running, international brand M·A·C Cosmetics will be styling the models’ make-up look for the show, led by by M·A·C Artist Harriet Clewes and her team.

We can reveal that the look has been inspired by the AW12 Catwalk shows at London Fashion Week of which M·A·C is the official Make-up Sponsor -the berry lip is a must have for this AW season!

Here’s a sneak peek of the M·A·C Face Chart featuring the look created for the show

Benjamin Ryan Hair & Beauty’s creative team is at the forefront of hairdressing & boasts some of the most experienced stylists & colour technicians in Birmingham who have been involved in fashion shows for Alexander McQueen, Roberto Cavalli, London Fashion Week. They are the first independent salon to become official hair stylists for Style Birmingham LIVE and we can’t wait to see their work in action!

The creative team are buzzing with ideas for the show, all based on the latest AW11 looks trends. Take a look at the key trends for the season that are inspiring their catwalk creations:

The return of the Androgyny short, boyish, handsome cuts with simplistic lines which are seen on today’s Celebrities and models, including Emma Watson for Lancôme and Andrej Pejic.

The 60s is another key trend that has been given a sexy revamp this season, with oversized buns teamed with sweeping side partings and the beehive bun seen on the Channel runway.

Beehives are a softer candyfloss texture and are being sculpted into a more conical shape, as worn by the late Amy Winehouse and inspired by the Ronettes.

Embellishing low ponytails with soft waifish whips will give this classic look a sexy 60s feel, as seen by Gucci who accessorised with feathers.

For a modern take, combining both structure and texture, we will see slicked back hair with structured haphazardly lying chignons or knots from ponytails. Giving a done/undone look as showcased by Missoni, Max Mara and Fendi.
