The Lomography Pop-Up Store Birmingham is now open on the second floor of Selfridges. For all of you keen analogue photographers out there, there is a vast selection of film cameras to see and lots of workshops to get you involved in the Lomography community.

If that wasn’t enough, Lomography is inviting all Style Birmingham readers to the opening party on Thursday 26 January from 6pm–9pm. They’ll be a DJ, drinks, goody bags and more – all you need to do is turn up.

Imagine a circus like no other. A twisted circus some might say. Include a handful of peculiar performances and then add eight divine restaurants to the mix for good measure and you’ve got Cirque du Spiceal, a twisted circus that will be arriving at Spiceal Street, Bullring, this January!

Between 23 – 28 January visitors to the city centre’s new dining destination, Spiceal Street, can experience this unique phenomenon. Think gentleman chimps hosting an unusual tea party, killer clowns on the loose and spectacular fire performers, whilst a twisted ringmaster takes centre stage as Spiceal Street is transformed into the setting for Cirque du Spiceal.

During the whole week diners at the eight restaurants at Spiceal Street – Browns Bar and Brasserie, ChaoBaby Thai Restaurant, handmade burger Co., Jamie’s Italian, Mount Fuji, Nando’s, Pizza Hut and wagamama – will be treated to an array of eccentric teaser performances before the grand finale on Saturday 28^th January.

The ‘Caravan of Lost Souls’ will be unleashed on St Martin’s Square between 8pm – 10pm on Saturday 28^th January with an array of twisted circus acts, including fire breathers, contortionists and a one man band, performing tricks and illusions.

A brand new art exhibition will be launched at trendy Temple Row coffee shop, Six Eight Kafé, from Saturday 7 January until early February. Customers can enjoy Kristian Jones’ exhibit entitled ‘Fast Food Dreams’ whilst tucking into a delicious beverage or tasty treat.

Kristian Jones is a freelance illustrator and artist living in the centre of the UK ( just outside of sunny Birmingham). He produces work for magazines, clothing ranges and works for various bands and clubnights on the Birmingham music scene crafting posters and artwork of an alternative nature.
